Profile Wire Screens
Wedge
wire can be fabricated flat or cylindrical. The triangular
shaped wedge wire is welded to a support rod. The wedge
wire can be spaced a fixed distance apart from adjacent
wires to create slots as fine as .001". Since the
slot created by the wedge wire is triangular, and inwardly
enlarging, particles will not jam into the slot and instead
pass freely through. Profile wire screens are used in
the water filtration, food processing and mining industries.
These screens can be fabricated as cylindrical
screens or flat
screens.
